    Accounting Assistant in the Finance Team  [RF: 2017/18-FT-076-JDB]

    Duties: The appointee will assist Assistant Finance Manager in performing the accounting and finance functions in order to ensure smooth operation of such functions in daily activities as well as to provide efficient and effective professional services to academic colleges/administrative units. The main accounting and finance functions include general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchase orders, fixed assets, staff costs and financial reporting. The appointee is also required to handle any duties as assigned by his/her team leader and the management.

    Requirements: Candidates should possess a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines and have at least 1 year relevant experience in accounting. They should have good computer skills including Microsoft Office advanced spreadsheets and word processing, strong analytical skills, effective communication skills in English and Chinese, and be independent and a good team player. Knowledge of financial systems (e.g. Oracle Financials) will be a definite advantage.

    Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.
