The Higher Diploma at HKU SPACE CC provided me with a strong foundation in architectural studies, equipping me with essential knowledge and practical skills. What made the programme particularly rewarding was the teaching approach—tutors encouraged students to explore their own design styles while offering guidance to build a solid stepping stone for my future studies. After graduating from the Higher Diploma, I articulated to the University of Plymouth top-up degree programme. I grew as an architectural designer by learning how to think critically and holistically. The programme, which followed Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) standards, focused on real-world challenges, and especially sustainability design. This gave me industry-standard skills and a clear understanding of professional workflows. Most importantly, it taught me how architecture must be both sustainable and socially responsible. Both programmes were supported by dedicated teachers and programme teams who were consistently helpful and approachable. They provided valuable internship opportunities, career guidance, and additional support during exam periods, ensuring students had the resources needed to succeed.
