Tai Suet Ying
2015-16 Associate of Science, Yr 2 (Biological Science Theme)
In the DSE, my result was not satisfactory, so no offers were given in the JUPAS. I decided to choose HKU SPACE CC to further study because the chance of getting into the HKU is higher. Also, the science subjects are quite outstanding among all the community colleges. At first, I found it a bit stressed and hard since people around me were quite diligent and ambitious, and the syllabus was in a completely advanced level. Much time was put to catch up and adapt the new environment than expected. However, all would be overcome after the first 2 months, and everything would be on the right track.

Gu Xin Yi, Lucy
2018-2019 Associate of Business Administration, Year 2 (Finance Theme)
During my HKU SPACE CC study, I have gained 13 A+ and 2 A out of 15 courses in my first three semesters. Sincerely, I was glad to meet a group of lecturers who encouraged me to ask questions actively, even the less skillful ones, which helped me a lot in my digestion of knowledge in depth. Meanwhile, thanks to the English Enhancement Courses prepared for mainland students in the first semester, I was exposed to multiple incredibly effective learning approaches. I'm convinced that both the business knowledge and the study skills I attained in HKU SPACE CC could benefit me a lot in my future study.

2013-14 Associate of Social Sciences (General Theme A - Psychology), Year 2
I got a HKU offer of 4-year Social Sciences programme. In fact,I didn't think that I would get this offer before interview. I just consider that if I apply this programme, I have 50% to get the offer; if I don't apply this programme, I have 0% to get the offer. After the interview, I felt satisfied with my performance. But I i didn't think about it anymore. "I do the best, God do the rest!" To me, I believe if something belong to me, they will belong to me, and vice versa. We should have faith that God has something better in store. Anyway, thanks people who help me and support me!

2 years of adventure at HKU SPACE CC was rewarding and terrific! One’s triumph only comes after acquiring a positive attitude, staying conscious and having good work ethic. Teachers at HKU SPACE CC are the lighthouse in the middle of the sea, they guide us, students, to those mentioned qualities with heart and passion; whenever we have questions on studies, we are given sincere help and useful methods to deal with them. On top of that, we are driven to achieve and explore our potentials. The Division of English offers a wide range of activities to students so they can learn and practice their English outside the classroom. The annual English Singing Contest and Speech Competition are just two examples. Students who are either afraid of public speaking or only need the stage to shine are given a chance to explore their potentials. It is not solely about the result, but the process of overcoming hurdles, and knowing what our strongest suits are. In HKU SPACE CC, we are taught strong values and have the right mentality we need, so that we would not shy away when the opportunity arises.

Diploma in Foundation Studies
Studying in the foundation programme was one of the most fruitful years in my life as I had a chance to learn new fields of subjects, such as Film and Philosophy, in order to understand the concepts by watching related movies that were quite new and interesting. In fact, we had to do a film-making project based on one of the concepts learnt at class, which allowed us to further apply the terms and concepts learnt to deepen our understanding. Even though I started my Associate of Arts in English Studies afterwards, we students still kept in touch with the lecturers and often missed the lessons. Having now the opportunity to choose between English and literature at the Baptist University and Linguistics at City University, I will never forget the time chasing deadlines, having fun company of classmates and consultation hours with patient lecturers. ”

2013-14 Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology (Computer Engineering) Year 2
After failing the public examination, my ideal study path to study in local university was broken. HKU SPACE CC provided a chance for me to pursue high level education, and also helped me discover my interest in computing. At the beginning I was scared because I haven’t studied any computing subjects before. Later I found that it is not a problem as the programme structure is designed from easy to hard, even a beginner can follow as long as you want to learn. In addition, the lecturers are so friendly and helpful that they are always happy to answer our questions. I am extremely grateful to the lecturers who have helped me a lot in my study. Now I have been trained to be capable of developing application programmes and solving computer problems. Most importantly, there is a chance for me to study in university. HKU SPACE CC is a place for me to get familiar with the study mode in university, and also a place of self-affirmation.
