Upon the completion of the Higher Diploma in Aviation Studies programme, I am well equipped with a concrete foundation of knowledge and skills regarding Airport and Airline Operations, Air Traffic Management and Aviation Security and Contingency Planning, etc. Through this programme, I’m pleased to have an opportunity to work in Heliservices as a part-time Casual Junior Duty Controller organised by the Internship programme. Through these experiences, not only have I equipped myself with various ground handling techniques, I have also developed strong critical appraisal skills in the aviation field. Now I’m working as an Airport Authority Operation officer in the Airfield department, not only has this programme enriched my aviation knowledge in airport management, it has also provided me with an opportunity to put my knowledge into practice. Studying Biomedical Sciences at HKU SPACE CC was a precious experience to me after HKDSE. This programme equipped me with a broad-based education and generic skills that helped me build a solid foundation in pursuit of university studies in pathological and microbiological sciences. Throughout the two years, I was not only provided with an in-depth study of advanced medical knowledge but also granted many opportunities to sharpen practical skills in laboratory sessions that strengthened my technological skills and health science specialism. Besides, the learning environment at HKU SPACE CC was very desirable; teachers were supportive and also classmates were enthusiastic and diligent about learning. Ishaq Arooj Diploma in Foundation Studies

Studying in the foundation programme was one of the most fruitful years in my life as I had a chance to learn new fields of subjects, such as Film and Philosophy, in order to understand the concepts by watching related movies that were quite new and interesting. In fact, we had to do a film-making project based on one of the concepts learnt at class, which allowed us to further apply the terms and concepts learnt to deepen our understanding. Even though I started my Associate of Arts in English Studies afterwards, we students still kept in touch with the lecturers and often missed the lessons.
