Failing the DSE has turned out to be the best thing that happened to me in my life. If I hadn’t experienced this failure, I would have never known the importance of hard work and dedication. Studying DFS was amazing. It’s simply one of the best years in my life both academically and personally. It gave me not only a shelter from the rain and protection from my insecure future, but also boosted my confidence to take challenges again and again. It also made me realize that failure is not the worst thing. On the contrary, not willing to try again is the worst. 雖然在公開試的成績未能符合入讀心儀大學學科的要求，但是在HKU SPACE的兩年時間中，慶幸有老師以及同學的互相幫助，令我有不俗的成績可以繼續修讀關於媒體的科目。我在這兩年間學會使用多種的軟件例如Photoshop、After Effect、Premiere和Illustrator等等，這些軟件幫助我十分多，特別在後期製作的時候。其次，校方亦有提供十分多資源給我們，例如上一年我參加了韓國遊學團，過程中見識到韓國的大型電視台以及電視劇的拍攝場景，都令我感到耳目一新。這些活動除了加深我對媒體的興趣之如，亦都可以累積這寶貴的經驗在日後面試的時候加以發揮，提升入讀大學的機會。 View Details

Ho Zannie Hiu Tung 2016-18 Student of Higher Diploma in New Media and Communication

I have learnt so much from the HDNMC programme in the past 2 years. From video editing to digital marketing, this programme provided me with many useful skills. I also learnt how to communicate with others well since we had to work in groups all the time. I have broadened my horizon after studying in this programme. I realized there are much more of media than we see on the surface. It was new and interesting to learn how to write for new media and create a media plan. We get to be creative while learning about the theories of media. Moreover, we went on a Korean Study Tour, from which we got to experience filming and sound production.
