Jimmy Leung
Student of the Higher Diploma in Product Design Technology, Year 1
I chose this programme because I want to learn the entire production process and the essential factors in today's product design industry so that I could make use of the knowledge learnt to design my own products in the future. The programme does not just deepen my understanding and knowledge of product design technology but also allows me to meet many new friends and lecturers who are very innovative and creative. The assignments and projects are practical such that we could apply the knowledge learnt to a very practical context. The programme also provides us opportunities to visit the design factories and companies so that we could learn more about the details of industry operation. I wish I could pioneer my own product design business after completion of the programme.

Studying HHPA at HKU SPACE CC has enriched my knowledge of the health care sector and nursing. This programme was useful and interesting. It provided a positive learning environment and encouraged us to cooperate with each other. I have learnt more about the health delivery and health financing systems in Hong Kong from the healthcare and public health courses, which broadened my horizon and helped me perform better at the University interviews. I appreciate the College for providing an opportunity to achieve my goal, paving the way for a fruitful future!

Li Lok Yee, Lois
Customer Service Specialist, Cathay Pacific
I have great aspiration in aviation, that's why I chose the Aviation Studies in HKU SPACE Community College in 2012. Throughout the two years, other than the knowledge taught by lecturer, the college also provides us opportunity to work at the airport or with different airlines. Luckily, I had a chance to work at Jardine Aviation Services as a ground staff. Although I only worked for a short period, I really enjoyed working in the field that I love. I am currently working in the Customer Service Department at Cathay Pacific. The time here is wonderful. Hope that other aviation-lovers can also find themselves from this programme.

Fung Hiu Tung, Creamy
2010-12 Graduate of Higher Diploma in Dental Hygiene
I became a professional dental hygienist after this two-year Higher Diploma programme. This has provided me with clinical training sessions, problem-based learning and other generic skills. Problem-based learning (PBL) has given me a new learning experience and has encouraged me to analyse problems by information searching, self-reading and group discussions. The clinical sessions have provided invaluable opportunities for me to treat patients in the Prince Philip Dental Hospital. More importantly, apart from the clinical skills, I have learned how to communicate and to take care of my patients. I found these experiences were really applicable and helpful to my career. Besides this, the generic modules also provided me with opportunities to strengthen my language ability and presentation skills. Now I know more about the role and responsibilities of a registered dental hygienist in Hong Kong and I am proud to be one of them.
