After HKDSE, I enrolled into the Higher Diploma in Marketing program at HKU SPACE Community College to explore a new career path after some guidance from my family members.
Throughout the last two years, I had gained an increased awareness of my strengths and weaknesses and for another pathway to university. The programme has covered extensive marketing concepts and theories, practical skills for today's world, and useful elements such as group projects and presentations which hones my creativity, critical thinking and communication skills.
All my lecturers were knowledgeable and supportive, they made lessons engaging with real case studies and their own experiences in the industry. They were also enthusiastic to help students with any questions or difficulties. Overall, I'm grateful for the holistic education I received throughout this programme. I would recommend it to anyone who is keen to pursue a career in marketing and related fields.

2023 Higher Diploma in Architectural Studies, HKU SPACE Community College
The Higher Diploma at HKU SPACE CC provided me with a strong foundation in architectural studies, equipping me with essential knowledge and practical skills. What made the programme particularly rewarding was the teaching approach—tutors encouraged students to explore their own design styles while offering guidance to build a solid stepping stone for my future studies.
After graduating from the Higher Diploma, I articulated to the University of Plymouth top-up degree programme. I grew as an architectural designer by learning how to think critically and holistically. The programme, which followed Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) standards, focused on real-world challenges, and especially sustainability design. This gave me industry-standard skills and a clear understanding of professional workflows. Most importantly, it taught me how architecture must be both sustainable and socially responsible.
Both programmes were supported by dedicated teachers and programme teams who were consistently helpful and approachable. They provided valuable internship opportunities, career guidance, and additional support during exam periods, ensuring students had the resources needed to succeed. Their commitment to student development played a crucial role in helping me achieve my academic and professional goals.
Thanks to the strong foundation from HKU SPACE and the advanced training at Plymouth, I was able to gain admission to UC Berkeley’s Master of Architecture (MArch) programme - a testament to the quality of education and mentorship I received.

As a recent graduate of the Dental Hygiene Programme, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible journey I have experienced. Before enrolling, I worked as a dental surgery assistant, where I encountered many patients suffering from periodontal disease. This exposure ignited my passion for oral health and solidified my desire to advance my career in this field.
The programme provided an abundance of practical training opportunities, seamlessly integrating theory with hands-on experience. The comprehensive curriculum not only equipped me with the technical skills necessary to perform as a qualified dental hygienist but also emphasized the importance of patient education. I learned that my role extends beyond cleaning teeth; it involves motivating patients to maintain their oral health and prevent dental issues.
One of the most remarkable aspects of this programme was the dedication of our tutors. Their enthusiasm for teaching was evident in every lecture and practical session. They generously shared their knowledge and experiences, making complex concepts accessible and engaging. Additionally, guest speakers, including experienced dentists, enriched our learning by providing insights into real-world practices and patient care.
Completing this programme has been a transformative experience, enabling me to become a professional dental hygienist and share vital oral hygiene knowledge with the community. This journey has strengthened my confidence and instilled a deep sense of purpose, and I look forward to making a difference in people’s lives through my work.

I wasn't a successful candidate in the HKDSE examination as I didn't meet the university's minimum entrance requirement. Luckily, HKU SPACE CC offered me a place so that I could be "reborn" and pursue my aspiration again. Owing to my passion for computers, I enrolled in the HDIT programme, which solidified my foundations in IT and trained me to be responsible and capable. I appreciate the rich hands-on experience and lecturers who diligently equip students with the necessary knowledge. I am grateful that the college has also provided many outreach activities such as study tours and the Student Representative Scheme, which enriches my college life and helps me establish wider social connections. If you are admitted into this programme next academic year, I encourage you to actively engage with lecturers and other hardworking students. They will help you a lot throughout your HDIT journey.
