兩年的副學士生活，我在學院裡學到了各方面的知識，亦豐富了我的學問，為未來的升學做了充份的準備。或許很多人對副學士的印象比較負面，認為副學士學生只是公開試的失敗者，但在這兩年，港大附屬學院令我對副學士有重新的了解。這裡的副學士大部分都不比公開試的同學們遜色，他們都為了自己的大學夢而努力奮鬥。很多人會抱怨副學士升大學的學額太少，但我只能告訴你，不是數量的問題，而是你本人付出多少的問題。 港大附屬學院的學習模式與中學有很大的分別，自律對成功升學是很重要的，因為在這裡再沒有中學老師的督促，上課時間又較有彈性，所以時間管理非常重要。千萬不要以為課程簡單又輕鬆，但取得一個足夠晉升大學的分數可並不容易，因為你的競爭對手不少，分數競爭也非常激烈。最後希望大家都可以全力以赴考進大學。 查看詳情

After becoming a student of Social Sciences at HKU SPACE Community College, I can honestly say that I am glad that I failed HKALE. If I had been "lucky" enough to become a university student by the traditional route, I would currently be studying engineering and convincing myself that being engineer is well-paid and secure. However, I would never have had the chance to realize that my real passion lay in studying Social Sciences. After two years of study, the most important message I have received is to be curious and constructively critical. I love my job as a dental hygienist. The 2-year Higher Diploma course is a comprehensive course which provided me with dental knowledge, clinical experience and generic skills. All that I learned and gained from the course can be practically applied in my work as a Dental Hygienist. Without a doubt, I found Problem Base Learning (PBL) a new and challenging academic experience after secondary school. Nevertheless, it helps students develop their critical thinking through information searching, group discussion and tutorial. In the clinical sessions, lecturers not only encouraged us to bring the knowledge into practice, but also taught us effective patient management skills and demonstrated how to co-operate with other dental practitioners. I find this invaluable in my day-to-day work. The generic courses also gave us training on language and communication skills. Learning is a life-long journey. The past two years that I have spent at HKU SPACE Community College have been a crucial turning point for me. Undoubtedly, life is tough. However, it is true that if you work hard, it will pay off. Life in the Community College has been truly memorable and I really appreciate the way that lecturers are always ready to help us. In addition to teaching us theories, they also equip us with the skills to enter university, as this is actually a mutual goal. Studying at HKU SPACE Community College is a certainly a memorable experience; you will definitely get what you deserve once you have devoted your efforts and made some sacrifices. I really appreciate the way in which HKU SPACE CC provided me with an opportunity to prove I was capable of being admitted to tertiary education in spite of my great setback at HKAL. 相信不少人和我一樣，放榜後進不了自己心儀的大學。那一刻對於自己的前途，的確是十分迷茫。幸好，港大附屬學院就在前方替我照亮了那未知的道路。當初因為父母一句話：「隨著自己的興趣而選擇」，即使我從沒有讀過跟電腦相關的科目，最後亦選擇了資訊科技副學士課程。 在港大附屬學院的生活讓我的眼界擴闊了不少，亦讓我認清自律的重要性。由於自由度十分高，學習和玩樂的時間全由自己掌握。我在這裡認識了一班好朋友，大家從早到晚也在學院內，不論上堂、溫書、吃喝玩樂也在一起，大家就像一家人一樣，而港大附屬學院就是我們的家。我十分慶幸我選擇了港大附屬學院，它給予我另一個入讀大學的機會。希望大家也能夠在港大附屬學院內找到自己的興趣，認清自己的目標，掌握自己的未來。 查看詳情
