相信不少人和我一樣，放榜後進不了自己心儀的大學。那一刻對於自己的前途，的確是十分迷茫。幸好，港大附屬學院就在前方替我照亮了那未知的道路。當初因為父母一句話：「隨著自己的興趣而選擇」，即使我從沒有讀過跟電腦相關的科目，最後亦選擇了資訊科技副學士課程。 在港大附屬學院的生活讓我的眼界擴闊了不少，亦讓我認清自律的重要性。由於自由度十分高，學習和玩樂的時間全由自己掌握。我在這裡認識了一班好朋友，大家從早到晚也在學院內，不論上堂、溫書、吃喝玩樂也在一起，大家就像一家人一樣，而港大附屬學院就是我們的家。我十分慶幸我選擇了港大附屬學院，它給予我另一個入讀大學的機會。希望大家也能夠在港大附屬學院內找到自己的興趣，認清自己的目標，掌握自己的未來。 查看詳情

Disappointed with my HKALE results, I was encouraged by my family to join the Higher Diploma programme in Engineering at HKU SPACE Community College. This programme not only well equipped me with critical and independent thinking skills, but also with the fundamentals of appropriate presentation and communication strategies. College life was flexible and the learning experience was rather different from secondary school. Company visits and field trips were organised regularly and broadened my horizons in relation to the various engineering fields. The invaluable engineering skills and techniques gained from the courses also helped me to become well-prepared for my further study and career. Thanks to the guidance and support from the lecturers, after one year of study in HKU SPACE Community College, I determined to develop my engineering expertise in the field of Electrical Engineering. Studying at HKU SPACE Community College was a turning point in my life. I learnt professional knowledge and concepts in business and finance, which have been very useful in my daily life. The lecturers were very kind and they gave valuable advice to me when I was applying to universities.

During the two years of studies in the Higher Diploma in Dental Hygiene, I found it a very memorable experience. The unique "Problem-based Learning" teaching method has allowed me to develop logical and critical thinking which has enhanced my ability to analyse problems independently. These are important for me to work in the dental field. In addition, the clinical sessions have given me the opportunity to treat patients who have a wide range of oral health problems. It is very useful for my future career. And now, I am glad to have become one of the enroled dental hygienists in Hong Kong and I believe I can apply my knowledge and experience and contribute to the community. 查看詳情

After becoming a student of Social Sciences at HKU SPACE Community College, I can honestly say that I am glad that I failed HKALE. If I had been "lucky" enough to become a university student by the traditional route, I would currently be studying engineering and convincing myself that being engineer is well-paid and secure. However, I would never have had the chance to realize that my real passion lay in studying Social Sciences. After two years of study, the most important message I have received is to be curious and constructively critical. Studying at HKU SPACE Community College is a certainly a memorable experience; you will definitely get what you deserve once you have devoted your efforts and made some sacrifices. I really appreciate the way in which HKU SPACE CC provided me with an opportunity to prove I was capable of being admitted to tertiary education in spite of my great setback at HKAL.
