“The world is one big data problem.”-Andrew McAfee I have always wanted to see myself in the professional realm of data science. With the increasing sources of data and higher value of data generation, data science has become dominant field with undoubtable merits in every areas whether it be business, medicine, astronomy etc. Pursuing diploma in data science from HKU SPACE Community College was the most important decision for me as I equipped the foundational knowledge to help me with my journey as an aspiring data scientist. It was indeed well designed for a new student like me and helped me learn up-to-speed right from the beginning. However, you need to show some passion and dedication inorder- to make the most of the course. The professors were always available to help me clear my doubts and queries whenever I needed them and I am grateful to each of them who helped me make my way to university. It was only a year of study, but I feel like I’ve gained a lot of insight about the so-called sexiest profession in 2021 because of it. 查看詳情

This programme is advantageous. Along with the opportunity to work at several libraries, it also provided me with an in-depth understanding of the library. 時日如飛，回想起當初選擇入讀中文專業傳意高級文憑時，內心十分忐忑不安。DSE的失利，面對新學校的緊張，他人質疑的眼光，都在兩年的時間中轉化成努力和汗水。課後一次次和老師的交談，和志向相同的同學一起奮鬥，都令這兩年博盡無悔的旅程變得多彩。而現在入了大學，發覺高級文憑課程學到的知識是多麼有用之後，又後悔當時沒有更加努力……只期望現在能和當初一樣不忘初心，繼續向前。最後，也給入讀了本課程的師弟師妹一些鼓勵：不要因為暫時的得失而膽怯。 查看詳情

In NMC, we learnt how digital tools can enhance creativity and allow us to express our innovative thoughts and ideas and to create something out of nothing. This journey has encouraged and offered me the opportunity to create new ideas and explore more of these technologies. Overall, NMC has inspired me to experiment more with my own creativity and consider how I could use digital tools to effectively communicate with my thoughts. 查看詳情
