The programme helped me build a strong foundation in the medical field, which will continue to benefit me in my degree studies. These experiences gave me early exposure to the industry and allowed me to better understand my career goals and aspirations for the future. Two years ago, I faced disappointment with my DSE results, as I couldn’t meet the 3322 requirement for nursing programs. However, a new opportunity arose when HHPA offered me a chance to study advanced healthcare. This path has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to deepen my understanding of health and medical sciences. The curriculum has been both challenging and enlightening, providing me with insights into various aspects of healthcare. Additionally, studying at HKU SPACE CC has been a transformative experience. The learning environment there closely resembles that of other universities, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. This supportive atmosphere has significantly boosted my self-discipline, encouraging me to pursue my goals with renewed confidence. Transitioning from a geography student to discovering a passion for business-related subjects is a significant journey. The programme’s comprehensive structure, covering areas like accounting, finance, management, and marketing, have played a crucial role in helping me find my potential and prepare for future university studies. My experience highlights how the ABA programme not only equips students with essential skills but also supports us in adapting to different environments and achieving our goals. With the support of my fellow students and lecturers, I have been able to become a superior version of myself and find a clear direction in the finance domain. Throughout my time at HKU SPACE CC, during the first semester, I was shy about asking questions and didn’t seek any help from the lecturer or classmates. So, I received a bad grade in the first semester; after that, I met some new friends in the second semester and formed a study group. And we will encourage each other to improve ourselves and ask questions. That leads to a closer relationship between us and our lecturers. We received immense support from our lecturers, and the experience gained by courses and projects was invaluable. Currently, I am pursuing my BEng in Electronic Engineering at HKUST. The knowledge that I gained in HKU SPACE CC is enough to support my study at HKUST, especially those project experiences that can provide me with more confidence in presentation and academic writing. My advice to future students is not to be lazy, not to be a free rider, and never to hesitate to seek help from their lecturers or classmates. With determination and perseverance, you can achieve your academic goals and beyond.
