在修讀高齡研究前，我認為自己對長者的認識是十分之足夠的。但在上課之後，我才發現原來自己的已有知識只是大海中的一部分。因此，我在這個課程中獲益良多。而且這個課程的老師們都十分之友善，不論遇上任何問題他們都會樂於回應，我認為我能夠成為這科的學生，是我的榮幸，我亦不曾後悔修讀這科。

Throughout my time at HKU SPACE CC, during the first semester, I was shy about asking questions and didn’t seek any help from the lecturer or classmates. So, I received a bad grade in the first semester; after that, I met some new friends in the second semester and formed a study group. And we will encourage each other to improve ourselves and ask questions. That leads to a closer relationship between us and our lecturers. We received immense support from our lecturers, and the experience gained by courses and projects was invaluable. Currently, I am pursuing my BEng in Electronic Engineering at HKUST. The knowledge that I gained in HKU SPACE CC is enough to support my study at HKUST, especially those project experiences that can provide me with more confidence in presentation and academic writing. My advice to future students is not to be lazy, not to be a free rider, and never to hesitate to seek help from their lecturers or classmates. After taking the DSE, I realized that I wanted to pursue working in media. I gained experience from in-class learning, seminars and workshops as well as listening to industry experts’ experience on video editing and shooting. After having fundamental knowledge, students could have opportunities for internship in media related works as well as study tours. 在中學時期，我對新媒體相關東西已經有非常濃厚的興趣，但對升學出路卻沒有概念。在公開試後我選擇了入讀HKU SPACE Community College的「新媒體與傳播」高級文憑課程，這個課程令我了解到現今媒體行業的運作，使我對將來發展方向有了大概目標，並提供了一個平台讓我的興趣及創意得到拓展。這個課程所教授的知識並沒有偏重於一個範疇，課程教授了在新媒體行業中不同範疇的入門技術和知識，由數位行銷行業的市場定位和項目規劃，到影片拍攝及後期製作的影片剪接、圖像設計、聲音設計等等，此課程都提供了機會給學生嘗試，使學生在課程中可以不斷探索將來就業或升學方向。此外這個課程啟發了我踏入製作動態圖形(motion graphics)的領域，我在課堂以及功課上找到了製作動態圖形作品的樂趣，課程激發了我在課堂以外也自發鑽研技巧，希望得到進步。總括而言，「新媒體與傳播」高級文憑課程為學生提供了豐富的資源和學習機會，能使他們在尋找發展方向的途中也能享受到學習的樂趣！ View Details
