New Media and Communication (NMC) offers education, opportunities and resources to students who are interested in pursuing in the field of media. I didn’t have any background in art or filming, but I was given the chance to gain knowledge and guidance from the professors. This course includes the fundamentals, advanced techniques and theories used on practical works, such as filming, photography, copywriting, animation and much more. The knowledge and experience learned from NMC aren’t just limited in their own fields, but rather become cross-disciplinary. Aside from giving quality education and suitable learning environments, students are given opportunities to apply learned skills in actual work. My class was offered to assist in an Ocean Park event photoshoot and PUBG mobile game tournament photo and video shoot. Students were tasked with the responsibility of getting quality photos and footage to clients, while also building up connections with classmates and other students from different courses. NMC就是圍繞着拍攝和攝影，一步步教會你從一個概念慢慢變成一條影片、一張照片或是一件藝術品。當中所獲得嘅成功感是無與倫比的，更加重要的是，NMC的課程內容不會被局限於書本上，大量的實踐機會將書本上的知識化作經驗，除了能裝備自己外，更可以令課堂不再沉悶。NMC源於拍攝，但不止拍攝。動畫設計、文案寫作等課程能夠最大程度地裝備我自己，為未來嘅挑戰作好準備。 尤記得在文憑試完結時，我感到前路一片茫茫，完全不知所措，然而在NMC中受到不同導師的鼓勵和悉心教導，當中最印象深刻的是 Photography導師 Felix sir 的「其實所有嘢都係角度問題，只要轉個角度成件事就會好睇好多。」這句話看似是在講述拍攝，卻隱藏着人生的大道理，換一個角度看，入讀NMC能夠豐富自己的閱曆和經驗，而並不是虛度兩年。我在這裏找到了自己的方向，更可以朝着自己的夢想進發。 View Details

時日如飛，回想起當初選擇入讀中文專業傳意高級文憑時，內心十分忐忑不安。DSE的失利，面對新學校的緊張，他人質疑的眼光，都在兩年的時間中轉化成努力和汗水。課後一次次和老師的交談，和志向相同的同學一起奮鬥，都令這兩年博盡無悔的旅程變得多彩。而現在入了大學，發覺高級文憑課程學到的知識是多麼有用之後，又後悔當時沒有更加努力……只期望現在能和當初一樣不忘初心，繼續向前。最後，也給入讀了本課程的師弟師妹一些鼓勵：不要因為暫時的得失而膽怯。 View Details

In NMC, we learnt how digital tools can enhance creativity and allow us to express our innovative thoughts and ideas and to create something out of nothing. This journey has encouraged and offered me the opportunity to create new ideas and explore more of these technologies.
