Studying HDLIM was enjoyable and I am delighted by my choice. I am grateful that the lecturers and senior students were always there to help when needed. Besides lectures, this programme also provides site visits and work placements for us. I did my placements in international school and university libraries, as well as a special library. I was so confused when I got my DSE results two years ago. Fortunately, I noticed that there was a Programme called Healthcare & Health Plan Administration at HKU SPACE CC. These two years of studies helped me understand the spectrum of issues in the medical system in HK. It showed me the different social institutions and broadened my understanding of healthcare systems around the world. It enriched my understanding of pathophysiology and the related studies, and provided me with the experiences of back-office work in the healthcare delivery system. These really helped me to fully realise my interest and to decide what I want to do in the future. Moreover, my classmates were positive and competitive. We worked together and fought together. If you never try, you will never know. Aviation is a fantastic industry. There are lots of opportunities, and if you take every chance, you will enrich your knowledge and widen your horizon. After studying the Aviation Studies programme at HKU SPACE Community College, I could learn different aspects of the industry, for example airport operations, aviation business, aircraft weight, and balance and dispatch, to name but a few. Those subjects provide a great chance for me to know more about this industry and get solid experience. Apart from knowledge, internship is a rare opportunity for students, and the College has provided several internships with different airlines. I still remember when the internship at Cathay Pacific was offered, I was hesitating for a while, because I was afraid that I was not competent for this job. However, my friends encouraged me to join this internship, and it was a good chance for me to affirm my capability. Although I worked for one year only, I felt care and warmth in this programme. Everyone, especially the staff and mentors, took care of us all the time. During the internship, I not only learned about knowledge, but also building relationships with different people and interacting with others. I hope everyone who loves aviation or aircraft can join this programme. It should be a wonderful experience for you.
