I never expected to step into such a welcoming environment at HKU SPACE. The lecturers were all very heart-warming and eager to help, whether the issues were academic or personal. I have met new friends that I still have contact with and are very close to this day. The experiences I had with my fellow classmates, academically and socially, were very valuable for my personal development. All in all, communication is definitely key around HKU SPACE.

Offer received: HKU Bachelor of Nursing
Studying Healthcare and Health Plan Administration at HKU SPACE CC has exposed me to a broader spectrum of healthcare issues, ranging from health planning to the structure of the medical system in Hong Kong and other countries. As the number of the aging population has rocketed, the healthcare demand for elderly service and organizations is increasing. This Programme enriches my health sciences knowledge, while helping me understand the factors behind the demand and supply for elderly services. All these help students think more thoroughly about their interests and future decisions. During our internship, students were assigned to different community centres or clinics, where they experienced, or observed first-hand, the routine tasks and duties of a community nurse or counsellor. This was a brand-new experience for most students. I really appreciate the college for giving me a second chance to achieve my goal to study in the university.

I am glad to have studied for the Higher Diploma in Aviation and Piloting at HKU SPACE Community College. I believed that many people had a dream like me, to pilot a plane and fly in the sky. When I was in the secondary school, I was certain that I wanted to become a pilot in the future. I love flying and believed this occupation would suit me well. After completing my secondary education, I struggled to find a suitable aviation-related course in Hong Kong—especially about flying. Finally I discovered HKU SPACE Community College, which offered the course on aviation and piloting.
2019-20 was my first year at HKU SPACE Community College. It was my most memorable year in which I took part in the Australia Aviation Study Trip. During the trip, we secured many precious opportunities such as a trial flight at Moorabbin Airport in Melbourne. I was allowed to sit at the front of the aircraft with my instructor, and I would never forget the excitement during my first take-off and landing. I was so energized because I knew it was one great step toward my dream, and it confirmed that I had chosen my future career correctly.
