Activities Organized by SDCS
Student Development and Counselling Services organised several activities in January. Let’s take a look at the event highlights.
Student Exchange Activity (17 January 2019)
10 high school students from Okinawa, Japan visited our College and had a 1-day exchange event with our Associate of Arts in Languages and Humanities (Japanese Studies) students. Through group activities and sharing, the Japanese students understood more about the life and learning mode in Hong Kong. They went to have dim sum together and enjoyed local food in Hong Kong. After lunch, the Japanese students introduced the traditional performance and cuisine of Okinawa to our students to let them understand more about the local culture and life in Okinawa.
Talks for Parents (25 January 2019)
In January, the College invited registered clinical psychologist, education psychologist, student counselor and career advisor to conduct seminars for parents. The seminars focused on the challenges and needs faced by students of tertiary institutions, articulation pathways, as well as career and life planning, in which participants were able to collect more information for giving better advices to their children.
Information Day for overseas exchange and further studies (30 January 2019)
In January, the College invited representatives from more than 10 universities in the U.K., the U.S., Australia and Taiwan and education consultants to set up information booths at the College, who gave detailed information about overseas studies and exchange to our students and parents.
