Career Festival 2018

The annual “Career Festival” was successfully held from 24-25 May.  This year, we have been trying to enhance students’ employment readiness by focusing more on the Career Preparation Workshops which included training in CV and Cover Letter Writing and Job Interview Skills.  The College invited the Hong Kong Disciplined Services, the Immigration Department, Customs & Excise Department, Fire Services Department and Hang Seng Bank to conduct Career Talks to share their hiring information and recruitment advice with our students.  Participants related that they gained new insight in the areas of improvement from the informative guest speakers and industry partners, and this inspired them on their career planning as well.

Apart from the training workshops and career talks, the College also arranged different parallel sessions on the second day.  Six reputable companies including Eslite, GAP, Hang Seng Bank, I.T., Kelly Services and Ocean Park were invited to offer on-site interviews.  They offered various full time, part time, trainee and summer positions to our students. 

At the same time, students could enjoy the one-on-one CV consultation session, conducted by HR Professionals to polish their CV writing skills.  This year, we implemented one brand new activity, inviting our business partner to provide free of charge profile photo taking services to students, in order to support their job hunting. This 2-day career event received warm responses from both the employers and student participants.
