The 23rd Graduation Ceremony
The 23rd HKU SPACE Community College Graduation Ceremony was held on 30 October 2024. It was a moment of celebration to witness each graduate reaching new milestones.
The Guest of Honor, Professor John Mark Carroll from the Department of History at the University of Hong Kong, delivered a speech at the ceremony. He encouraged the graduates that success was never measured only by financial or material wealth, or by professional or educational qualifications. True success came from finding meaningful and long-lasting purpose, and from making a positive impact. This required more than professional skill or academic knowledge. It required understanding, empathy, diversity, and inclusivity.
Professor William K.M. Lee, Director of HKU SPACE, commended graduates for their dedication, perseverance, and accomplishments, and wished them all the very best for a bright and fulfilling future. He also encouraged the graduates to cherish and apply all the skills and lessons learned at HKU SPACE CC, which would serve them well in achieving their goals, overcoming obstacles, and realising their dreams, even though the road ahead may be complex.
During the ceremony, outstanding teacher awards, scholarships and other awards were presented to the teachers and students to praise their contributions to the College and excellent academic achievements.
Once again, the College congratulates all the graduates and wishes them a future brimming with success.
