The current New Coronavirus outbreak in Hong Kong has necessitated us to minimize physical contacts among people so as to reduce the risk of exposure. Since classroom meetings are currently not advisable, the College will conduct instruction of our courses using online learning means till February 29. We are also considering various ways to add face-to-face meetings for the courses.
Please note that, commencing on Feb 10, lecture instruction of all classes will be delivered during their regular timetabled slots via on-line means. Some teachers have already been disseminating lecture files and handouts to students of their courses. Most of the courses will be delivered using Virtual Classroom; while some may use other e-learning platforms for the instruction. They will post their instructions to join the online platforms to you by next week. The modifications in the teaching plan may require some courses to revise the assessment and examination arrangements. The teachers will inform you the revised arrangements as soon as possible.
The College is considering extending the teaching schedule of the semester into early May. We are also working on the idea of a summer term. All these measures are instigated to ensure a sound learning experience of our students and their advancement opportunities not compromised due to the recent situations.
Please continue to pay close attention to the College’s announcements.
