The last decade has seen a growing awareness of the role design can play in improving the quality of life in Hong Kong. This has led to an increasing demand for design knowledge and skills, especially amongst the younger generation. In response to this demand, the College offers these two programmes which aim to develop both the conceptual thinking and technical capabilities of young people who aspire to become designers.

Programme Aims & Features

This programme aims to provide a conceptual and technical foundation for students aspiring to a career in graphic design. Students will be equipped with essential knowledge and skills, and be prepared for a wide variety of disciplines in the design industry, such as graphic design, brand identity design, packaging design, advertising design, editorial design, and multi-media design. The teaching team comprises professional designers and experienced academics.

Former students have won numerous distinguished design awards including Design Student of the Year from the Hong Kong Designers Association in 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2011, Graphic Design in China Awards 2009 and 2011, Tokyo Type Directors Club Awards in 2011, Youtube Short Film Award in 2008, as well as the Gold and Silver Awards of the Student Typography Competition organised by Tokyo Type Directors Club in 2006.
