Summer OutLeap 2018 - Vietnam Voluntary Service Tour
This summer, 30 students participated in a meaningful activity by visiting Vietnam for a voluntary service tour. The tour started on 17th June in Ho Chi Minh City for six days. During the trip, our students brought love and joy to the orphans and disadvantaged children through various interactive activities.
Under the unfavorable condition and hot weather, volunteers were challenged to step out of their comfort zone and did their best to teach and care for Vietnamese children while engaging them in fun activities, like teaching English, arts and crafts, singing, dancing and games. Volunteers were fully enjoyed with big smile on their faces, though they got dirty and sweaty all the time. They expressed their love through action, not just words.
It was more than a service tour, but a fulfilling and life-changing one. Our volunteers not only offered hope to Vietnamese children, but also learned more about themselves through working with and serving the others.
