Gen Z Beyond the Edge: Spain x Portugal
This summer, 20 CC students embarked on a remarkable 13-day life-inspire backpack tour across Spain and Portugal. More than a cultural exchange journey, this experiential learning adventure encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones, develop independence, and discover their inner strengths and potential.
A highlight of the tour was the 100km Camino de Santiago pilgrimage walk, where students challenged themselves physically and mentally. Through perseverance, teamwork, and self-discipline, students successfully completed the journey and received the official Camino de Santiago Certificate.
More than just a trip, the backpacking experience was a journey of self-discovery. By carrying their own backpacks and managing their daily travel arrangements, students learned to travel independently, make decisions, solve unexpected problems, and adapt to changing environments. Along the way, they learned valuable lessons about resilience, gratitude, self-reflection, and personal growth.
This inspiring journey not only broadened students’ global perspectives but also empowered them to face future challenges with confidence and determination.
