North Africa Gateway – A Morocco Study Tour 2026

In June 2026, our students joined a 13-day Cultural Study Tour to Morocco, gaining firsthand insight into a country shaped by African, Arab, and European traditions. Throughout the journey, students visited the historic cities of Fes, Marrakech, and Rabat, exploring UNESCO World Heritage sites, magnificent Islamic architecture, bustling souks, and centuries-old medinas. Walking through the maze-like streets of Fes, discovering the colourful markets of Marrakech, and learning about Morocco’s unique history and culture brought classroom knowledge to life in exciting and meaningful ways. 

Beyond sightseeing, students participated in a wide range of educational activities that deepened their understanding of the country and its people. Through interactions with Moroccan families, students, and scholars, participants gained valuable insights into local customs, social life, and contemporary issues. These experiences encouraged meaningful cross-cultural exchanges and helped students develop a greater appreciation of Morocco’s important role as a bridge between Africa, Europe, and the Arab world, as well as enabled students to connect their experiences with broader academic themes and global perspectives.
