Oxford Summer English Language Programme

In July 2024, 30 CC students participated in the Oxford Summer English Language Programme, marking the first collaboration between our college and Hertford College, Oxford University. Throughout the 10-day programme, participants engaged in dynamic lessons led by experienced instructors, with a focus on both academic and conversational English.  Besides, our students had the opportunity to explore the cultural heritage of Oxford and the UK through a tapestry of social and cultural activities, including a guided tour of London, visits to various museums, and encounters with local traditions, such as the delightful ritual of British afternoon tea and the tranquil pleasure of punting.  In the end, participants also concluded their learning through a final presentation, sharing unique insights and cherished accomplishments from their time at Oxford.  This programme not only enhanced students’ language proficiency but also fostered personal growth, in particular, nurturing students’ independence and strengthening their problem-solving skills.  It is certain that the trip has gifted students with treasured memories that will last for years to come.
