Message from College Principal: Teaching arrangements starting from October 2020

04 Sep 2020

Dear Students,

Given the improving public health situation in Hong Kong, the College will resume partial face-to-face (f2f) meetings starting from October 3. The f2f teaching arrangements of your courses will be announced by the specific course teachers nearer the time.   However, all courses will still be available online throughout the whole semester and you have the option of completing the semester online.    It is not mandatory for you to return to campus for f2f classes except for some courses requiring hands-on engagement.

All course assessment will remain the same irrespective of whether the course is delivered online or by mixed-mode.  There will be no onsite final examination and all end-of-term assessment will take place online.

Health and safety of the College community is our priority.  If you have coronavirus symptoms or feel unwell, please stay home and visit a doctor.  Teachers will upload the lecture videos onto SOUL.  For those who come to the campus, they need to:

  1. Complete Health Declaration Form
  2. Have temperature check
  3. Wear face mask at all times
  4. Maintain proper social distancing
  5. Maintain good personal hygiene

Please also refer to the protocols posted on the Learner Portal for more details.

In the coming months, we may possibly face another wave of pandemic outbreak.  The College will closely monitor the situation and make necessary adjustments.  Be prepared to switch back to online delivery for all courses at short notice.

Please stay vigilant, and make your personal and other’s health your top priority.

College Principal
