Update on HKU SPACE Vaccine Pass and Campus Access (Phase Three from 31 May 2022)

30 May 2022

Dear Colleagues and Students,

HKU SPACE follows HKU policy which aligns with the Government’s Vaccine Pass policy and introduced the HKU SPACE Vaccine Pass and Campus Access with various infection control measures to safeguard our health against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting from 31 May 2022 (Phase Three), persons aged 12 or above who have taken the second dose for more than six months wishing to enter the HKU SPACE premises / HKU campus must comply with the vaccination requirements of three doses of a recognized vaccine and make use of the LeaveHomeSafe (LHS) mobile application to scan the venue QR code.

There are exempted scenarios to gain campus access as follows:

  • Children under 12 years of age

  • Recovered persons previously infected with COVID-19 and within 6 months from recovery

  • Persons with a certified medical exemption as being medically unsuitable for vaccination

The venue QR code has been displayed at all entrances to the HKU SPACE premises / HKU campus.  Once you scan it, LHS will automatically display the QR code of your vaccination record, exemption certificate or recovery record to indicate your compliance with the Vaccine Pass.

A set of more detailed FAQs has been developed to address concerns from persons requiring access to HKU SPACE premises / HKU campus.  These FAQs can be found at HKU SPACE COVID-19 Info Hub, and updates will be made from time to time to take account of possible changes in Government guidelines and University arrangements.  For any other enquiries, please refer to the School website, Teacher Portal and Learner Portal, or contact our staff at Colleges, HKU SPACE Community College and enrolment counters at the School’s Learning Centres for advice.

Please always make personal and group health your top priority.
