The last decade has seen a growing awareness of the role design can play in improving the quality of life in Hong Kong. This has led to an increasing demand for design knowledge and skills, especially amongst the younger generation. In response to this demand, the College offers this programme which aims to develop both the conceptual thinking and technical capabilities of young people who aspire to become designers.
Programme Aims & Features
This programme aims to provide a conceptual and technical foundation for students aspiring to a career in graphic design. Students will be equipped with essential knowledge and skills, and be prepared for a wide variety of disciplines in the design industry, such as graphic design principles, brand identity design, photography, drawing & illustration, typography, packaging, advertising, editorial design, and multi-media design etc. The teaching team comprises professional designers and experienced academics.
Achievements
Former students have won numerous distinguished design awards including Design Student of the Year from the Hong Kong Designers Association in 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2011, Graphic Design in China Awards 2009 and 2011, Tokyo Type Directors Club Awards in 2011, Youtube Short Film Award in 2008, as well as the Gold and Silver Awards of the Student Typography Competition organised by Tokyo Type Directors Club in 2006.

Admission Interview
Qualified applicants should bring along with you a simple portfolio to the admissions interview. A portfolio can include sketchbook, drawings, photos etc.
